| Visited recently for 1st time - had a lovely evening - waiter was pleasant & attentive but not overly so - seasonal menu was great - we had the pork loin and the lamb & both were prepared well - recommend the squash soup - we were the 1st in b/c there was only one table left when we called - place filled up quickly & seemed to have a lot of regulars - would recommend to anyone w. caveat that it can be pricey (depends on your order) |

| 5 minute wait but room small. No table cloth; paper napkin. So noisy that hard to talk to companion. Music that couldn't really be heard just added to noise. Bought main entre without silverware, generally inattentive service. As we left waiters in door talking among themselves even though diners remained. Food prepared well but plain in taste and not imaginative. Chick-pea spread for cold bread and water in wine bottle does not in my experience make a restaurant French. However, it is advertised as a bistro, and if looking for a bar/tavern atmosphere with slightly above usual prices, try it. I prefer to eat elsewhere. |

| I'm not sure why this restaurant is so highly rated. I guess we just have different tastes from the average Amherstonian. The food is overpriced and the staff are unfriendly. |

| The food is very good, tho I wouldn't necessarily say "outstanding". Our waitress had no interest in telling us what the specials were, and did not elaborate much when we had questions, but otherwise the service was good. The house red wine (a grenache) was good, but the house chardonnay was served inappropriately ice cold. Food freshness and presentation is excellent. Ambience is warm & cozy. Quite expensive, even considering the overall quality. On the weekend, you may not be able to get a reservation unless you call a day or two in advance. |
