You can tell that Jalapenos Grill in Walpole, MA, is different from most of the local Mexican restaurants in the Boston suburbs: the food isn't overwhelmed by salt and the overall freshness of the Yucatan cuisine favors wholesome, full-bodied flavors over the drive-through, pre-made, junk food-style stale specialties of the day we're accustomed to.

The food here is always delicious. Ricardo the owner is so friendly - he makes you feel right at home. I agree that it had its rough moments when Jalapenos first moved to this spot. But now, the service and kitchen has matured. I highly recommend Jalapenos. (Then go 1/2 mile North on Rt. 1A to Scoops for desert!)

Since when does a mexican restaurant charge $2 for chips and salsa. $7 for a Magarita. Food is bland and poorly prepared and presented. Go to ACAPULCOS for a oood reasonably priced meal....and the staff are actually mexican!!

I liked what's on the menu and this is a very comfortable friendly place. They also will bring you something not on the menu. For instance, I love plain sliced avocado with lime juice; they were happy to make it for me.
